Yesterday was Mother’s Day and I talked about the Proverbs 31 woman. I did not preach about the woman described in Proverbs 31. In fact, the way that passage is typically preached leaves women feeling inadequate and defeated. Not a very good thing for Mother’s Day…or any day! Proverbs 31 was written by Solomon and he describes his mother. His mother was Bathsheba. In the life of Bathsheba we see that God bring restoration to anyone who desires restoration. The Lord can make anyone whole again. The Lord can use anyone to accomplish His purposes. Bathsheba was a woman who had terrible sins committed against her. However, her story doesn’t end there. God brought restoration to her and used her in mighty ways.
